Meetings

The following issues were discussed at the General Meeting of the Academy:

• Report of the President, Temur Chilachava, on the activities carried out during the period from March 2021 to March 30, 2026;

• Election of the President;

• Election of Vice-Presidents;

• Election of Heads of Departments;

• Election of the Scientific Secretary;

• Election of members of the Academic Council.

Academician Temur Chilachava was elected as the Chairperson of the General Meeting of the Academy (25 votes in favor, 0 against, 0 abstained).

1.Academician Temur Chilachava presented a report on the activities carried out by the Academy during the period from March 2021 to March 30, 2026, which was positively evaluated;

2. Members of the Academy, Ketevan Pavliashvili and Gia Kvashilava, nominated Academician Temur Chilachava for the position of President of the Academy, who was unanimously elected (25 votes in favor, 0 against, 0 abstained);

3. The elected President of the Academy, Temur Chilachava, nominated Academician Temur Shengelia and Corresponding Member of the Academy Khatuna Amaghlobeli for the positions of Vice-Presidents, who were unanimously elected (25 votes in favor, 0 against, 0 abstained);

4. The President of the Academy, Temur Chilachava, was unanimously elected as the Head of the Department of Fundamental and Natural Sciences (25 votes in favor, 0 against, 0 abstained);

5. The Vice-President of the Academy, Temur Shengelia, was unanimously elected as the Head of the Department of Social Sciences (25 votes in favor, 0 against, 0 abstained);

6. Corresponding Member of the Academy Eka Vardoshvili was unanimously elected as the Head of the Department of Language and Literature (25 votes in favor, 0 against, 0 abstained);

7.The elected President of the Academy, Temur Chilachava, nominated Corresponding Member of the Academy George Pochkhua for the position of Scientific Secretary, who was unanimously elected (25 votes in favor, 0 against, 0 abstained);

8. In accordance with the Charter of the Academy, the Academic Council of the Academy was unanimously elected (25 votes in favor, 0 against, 0 abstained) with the following composition of 11 members:
